Hope in Haiti
Peyi Pouri, Haiti is a mountainous region near Fond Parisien. The area is very hard to access due to the poor roads leading up to it. Because of the poor conditions of the roads the area rarely gets aid from the government or other NGO organizations. This area is in need of a safe roads, a safe building where school can be held, reliable teachers and a nutritional program. NBBAI have partnered with a local community leader Pastor Sambourg Yliobert to start working on plans to help this community.
The roads to this area are nearly impassable. So the largest project is repairing the infrastructure of the roads. We hope to inquire corporate donations and volunteers to assist with this large project. Meanwhile donations of motor bikes, ATVs and 4WV are welcome. This will allow for easier access to the villages.
We wish to provide the opportunity for a basic education for the children and adults who wish to learn. We hope to partner with near by towns that have schools to help aid in access to education. This will include learning English. We believe that learning English will help aid in being able to gain employment and strengthen the community. NBBAI have meet with local community leaders and have evaluated what the immediate needs are.
Nigeria
In Nigeria we have a large project currently on the go. Co-founder Anselm Nwoke a native of Nigeria has been the lead in this project and so far we’ve been able to provide daily meals to children and the elderly in the immediate village. Started the build on a compound that will include a church, orphanage, community center and housing for volunteer staff. The land was donated by the Nwoke family. To date the church is 85% finished which will serve as a community pillar once finished.
Thus far in Uganda
We have partnered with Agape Africa Outreach a local NGO whose founders are Dexter and Brittany Jones. They make Love baskets for families that provide them with a week’s worth of food, hygiene items and malaria meds. NBBAI has made contributions to this NGO and has partnered with them and plan to continue in their project to come.
