About Us

The Organization

NOT BY BREAD ALONE INTERNATIONAL, INC. was formed for the charitable purpose of working with at risk children, families and their communities in the United States, Haiti, Uganda, Nigeria and Kenya. We plan to reach our full potential by tackling the causes of poverty, injustice and disease, in hopes of helping these individuals to find lasting ways to improve their lives. NOT BY BREAD ALONE INTERNATIONAL, INC. furthers its charitable purpose by providing educational opportunities to children and adults who cannot afford it. Providing basic reading and math skills to parents for free that are illiterate so that they can function better in their community. Facilitating access to marketable job training and helping the head of home start their own sustainable businesses.

We seek to provide a safe place for orphaned children to be safe from sex trafficing and death, providing them with the opportunity to thrive. Working here in the USA to hold our elected officials accountable for the moral consciousness of America. We work closely with “The Poor People’s Campaign”. All of these are the main purpose of the charitable cause of NOT BY BREAD ALONE INTERNATIONAL, INC.

We will conduct our programs by partnering with volunteers and community leaders. By partnering with the local community we will be able to establish lasting relationships and also work in the heart of the areas that need the help most.

Zenia Boyd

Founder Zenia Boyd has always lived a life of service. Born on a military base hospital to her parents, the late Pastor Terry Boyd and Diane Rivers, she was destined for a life in ministry. The granddaughter of a well-established Pastor and community leader, she grew up learning about the gospel of love. Zenia started her training in ministry with Light of Life Ministries, Inc. under the tutelage of the late Apostle Donald Watkins Sir, where he trained her in the ways of servanthood. His teaching stuck with her throughout her life and is what drives her today. At the age of 16, she was licensed locally as a youth minister and started teaching Sunday School to children ages 3-8. She went on to serve as an usher and on the youth praise and worship team. By the age of 18 she was given more responsibility and began serving as an aid to her leaders and was also put in charge of the Elderly/Nursing home ministry, where she preached the gospel of Love to those who sometimes are often forgotten. Zenia served faithfully for three years in this role and was eventually ordained and licensed as a missionary. She served at Light of Life Ministry Inc faithfully for more than 16 years until the transition of her late Bishop.

In 2010 Zenia partnered with her dear friends and brothers in the gospel, the late Minister Khevyn Wright of Virginia, and Minister Anselm Nwoke of Michigan. Together, they started the “Free Your Mind” Bible study, which was a successful online and international weekly bible study program. In 2014 Zenia heard the call to expand her ministry internationally and so she teamed up with Ben Hill United Methodist church in Atlanta, Georgia and their international outreach team and started planning her first international mission trip to Haiti and Dominican Republic, which forever changed her life.

Growing up for Zenia was not easy because she is a survivor of poverty, sexual abuse, abandonment, homelessness, and bullying. Because she suffered and survived all these obstacles, she has a heart full of compassion for those who also suffer such trials in life. She thrived throughout her life, choosing not to become a product of her environment. Strong-willed and determined, she held on to her faith and the call she knew was on her life to serve. Zenia holds two degrees and has worked for years in health care. Her passion to serve has made her career a success. In 2018 she began researching to find the best way she can continue her passion to serve and be used as a vessel to spread the gossip of love. So, in 2019 she set out to start her own 501c3 and continue to help others on a larger scale, and so “Not By Bread Alone International” was born.
