PROJECTS
Educational Scholarships and Sponsorship
We believe that the vehicle out of poverty is through education: in the USA we will provide a scholarship opportunity for high school senior and college freshmen to travel abroad to one of our mission locations. There they will get the opportunity to serve as Teacher’s asst, Social worker intern, Nursing observant, community organizer, and spiritual studies.
In our international locations we intend to provide education opportunities to high risk children. NBBAI will provide tuition cost for those whose parents can not afford it, and connect the family with resources to free schools in the area. In some cases children are denied the access to an education simply because their parents can not provide the required school uniform. In these circumstances we will provide the children with school uniforms and supplies so that this will no longer be an obstacle.
Feeding Programs
Our nutritional program will work closely with the immediate community to help make sure that at least twice a day the families will be able to have a healthy fulfilling meal. By using our resources to buy from local farmers and grocery stores we will also impact the economy. We will provide rice, beans, oil and vegetables. A good sustainable source of protein can be provided through eggs from the chickens and when it’s available the rabbit and chickens that are farmed.
In rural locations access to clean water is also a challenge. NBBAI major project will include engineering a way to get clean water to the locations that need it as well.
Orphanage Support
The campus in Nigeria will include an orphanage. This will provide a safe home for children in the immediate village. The building project for the orphanage will start 2021.
In the past NBBAI volunteered in Haiti at the local CAD government orphanage, Hope House Haiti and Whole Hearted in Fond Parisien. We provided rice, book donation, soccer balls and linens for the children. At HCM campus the Higgins Birthing Clinic was donated baby bags full of supplies for new mothers. NBBAI will continue with support to these campaigns and also work on other ways we can be of service.
Medical Care and Screenings
This is the facility at HCM campus where, previously we helped organize the pharmacy and volunteered at their medical facility.
Our desire is to start a quarterly mobile medical clinic in all our locations. These clinics will provide health screenings, vaccinations, and preventive education. With donations we can purchase a fully equipped medical van.
Spiritual wellness
NBBAI believes that the human spirit is nourished by love and compassion. We will teach moral principles that will help the people we serve grow to have a healthy relationship in their spiritual walk and keep them mentally stable.
Sustainability
Helping to develop a sustainable work industry in the communities we serve is a very important part of our mission. This will empower the communities to obtain skilled jobs that will help earn them a living wage, that we hope will break the cycle of unemployment and poverty.
Projects will include but is not limited to:
*Skilled Labor Training such as (construction, carpentry, cosmetology, sewing, nursing, hospitality, culinary arts)
*Chicken/Rabbit Farming
*Farming
*Teaching (STEM)
*Entrepreneurship (provide access to microloan programs to start businesses)We believe that the arts should be encouraged to help promote creativity in the children. This can also provide a source of income. With these tools we feel we can help all the communities we serve become self sufficient.
